How AK EarlyCare works

Choose the guide for your role.

For Child Care Programs

  1. Share your staffing needs. Describe the role, schedule, offered pay and relevant experience.
  2. Review interested professionals. Review candidate information and available screening summaries.
  3. Agree on employment terms. Choose a professional and agree on the role, pay, hours and start date.
  4. Complete hiring and onboarding. Your child care program completes required checks, employs the professional and handles supervision and wages.

Your Emergency Backup Pool

Your Emergency Backup Pool contains part-time and on-call employees your child care program has already hired. Organize their availability and recorded pay. Hiring and pool upkeep are limited to the scope agreed in writing.

For Care Professionals

  1. Share your experience. Add your child care experience, qualifications, preferred age groups and availability.
  2. Explore opportunities. Review the role, schedule, offered pay and child care program details before expressing interest.
  3. Agree on the job. If selected, review the offer and agree on employment terms with the hiring child care program.
  4. Complete onboarding. The child care program employs, supervises and pays you directly.

Before work begins

Before work begins, the professional must agree to the offer and the child care program must confirm completed hiring, required checks and onboarding. Creating a profile does not authorize work, and approval from another employer does not clear you to work at a different child care program.
